God of love, you are with us in our joys and in our sorrows. You are faithful, and that kindles out desire to remain with you. If one day we should have to risk everything for you, may your Holy Spirit enable us to danse in the midst of our difficulties and to express all our gratitude for the beauty of your presence.

God of compassion, when we hear the word "obey" something tenses up in us. Could you be forcing yourselves on us? But when we discover that the fullness of love drives out fear, a way opens up. You invite us to listen to your word and to put it into practice. May your Holy Spirit open for us the way of the freedom of God’s children.

Christ, our peace, servant of all, in a world which often drives us to want to be first, you point out another way. By your Holy Spirit, lead our hearts always to seek the common good, to listen to others and to put ourselves in their place.
