Daily Prayers by Brother Matthew

Christ Jesus, you sow generously in everyone. May your Holy Spirit gently water the ploughed-up earth of our lives to welcome the gift of your Word. Give us the patience not to grow discouraged, but to let the little plants grow which, in time, will bear unexpected fruit: a burning charity, a heart that listens, and a peace that can only come from you. And if the harshness of life hinders us, or if the thorns smother us, remind us of the generosity of your love. And then we understand: you never stop giving, and your word will not return without results.
